A 2024 Success
The 2023-2024 school year has come to an end. This year, a great deal was accomplished. We had the largest group in La Salle history to enter the science fair. A total of six projects and ten students represented our school this year at the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair. Our students returned with many positive comments on their projects from judges and ideas for next year. Preparation for the LA Science Fair
As we ring in 2024, the CARLOW Center is aflutter with students diligently working on their science fair projects for the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair. Brianna and Lily Balian were in the lab working away during their Christmas break to start their experiment. Brianna and Lily are working with primary rat neurons and how fatty acid and glucose supplementation affect neural development. La Salle Unveils "Colors of Courage Wall" to Honor Alumni Veterans
La Salle College Preparatory held a special dedication ceremony on Saturday, May 20th, unveiling its new ‘Colors of Courage’ Honor Wall, honoring 365 La Salle alumni who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The honor wall was developed and inspired by current La Salle senior Avery Kachmarsky ‘24, who also serves as an Eagle Scout in the Pasadena area. Dash Award in Memory of Arion Tavakoli '09
The Dash Award is a scholarship that was instated in 2016 in honor of Arion Tavakoli ’09 who passed away in 2014. This scholarship honors a graduating senior who lives each day with passion to make a difference and has a love and appreciation of life, which are the same values that Arion showed during his short time on this earth. Colors of Courage Wall Unveiled Honoring our Alumni Veterans
On May 18. 2024, La Salle proudly unveiled the Colors of Courage Wall. This significant monument honors 363 alumni who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces. It commemorates their unselfish service, loyalty, sacrifice, and bravery. Each name is beautifully engraved within the stars and stripes of our nation's flag, serving as a permanent tribute to their courage and our gratitude. 2024 Alumni Service Award
La Salle honored Brendan Gripp ‘08 with the Alumni Service Award at yesterday’s Founders Day Mass in front of the student body. Brendan works as a teacher at the Good Shepherd Shelter, a transitional shelter for Mothers and Children Impacted by Domestic Violence. Congratulations Brendan!
